Story Time – “Silly Sentences”

The Laughing Boy by Robert Henri - BMA

Here is something to help with week-end silliness:

Sit in a circle. Pass a sentence from person to person, changing one word each time. The first person begins a simple sentence, like “The white dog is in front of the house.” The next person responds “No! The white dog is on top of the house.” The next will say “No! The white moose is on top of the house.” And so on.

Frequent use of the word “no” and the fact that the sillier the substitutions, the better, make this a favorite with the 3-5 year old crowd.

Enjoy and talk soon!
